Mommy and Me Dance and Tumbling I  (Ages 18 months – 2 years)

The class focuses on the basic concepts of movement, balance, rhythm and coordination, utilizing shapes, numbers and direction following.  Hopping, skipping, and jumping are just a few of the things that will be learned along with basic beginner dance and tumbling skills.  We begin to learn exercises for strength and flexibility.  This is a great way for you and your child to learn together.  Fine and gross motor coordination and manipulative skills are developed.   Mom, Dad or Grandparent assist the child through each activity. An interactive class with your child that includes music, creative movement, songs, smiles, parent/child bonding, memories and FUN!

 

Class Attire:  Dancers can wear any colored leotard or dancewear.  Dancewear is defined as: leotard/crop top/booty shorts/Capri pants.  Tights are optional but if worn must be, Capri, footless, or convertible.  No t-shirts, sweat pants or loose clothing is permitted.  Hair should be pulled back and secured.  Male dancers should wear shorts and shirts (not baggy) or fitted sweat clothing.

This class is for the beginner tumbler.  In this class the student will develop basic tumbling skills which will include: handstand, forward roll, backward roll, cartwheel, round-offs and back bends.  No prior tumbling experience is necessary for this class.  Additionally, strength and conditioning skills will be taught to help progress the learning of tumbling skills.

Intermediate I Tumbling  (Ages 5 – 18 years)

This class progresses from the skills learned in Beginning Tumbling.  Body positions will be highly emphasized.  More strength skills will be necessary to work on more advanced skills such as front and back walkovers, limbers and arabians.  Back bend kick overs, handspring and aerials will be introduced at this level.  Tumbling requirements include cartwheels, round-offs, backbend pull ups and working on backbend kick over or permission from the instructor.   

 

Class Attire:  Dancers can wear any colored leotard or dancewear.  Dancewear is defined as: leotard/crop top/booty shorts/Capri pants.  Tights are optional but if worn must be, Capri, footless, or convertible.  No t-shirts, sweat pants or loose clothing is permitted.  Hair should be pulled back and secured.  Male dancers should wear shorts and shirts (not baggy) or fitted sweat clothing.

Intermediate IIA & II B  Tumbling  (Ages 5 – 18 years)

This class progresses from the skills learned in Intermediate I Tumbling.  Body positions will be highly emphasized.  More strength skills will be necessary to work on advanced skills such as back handsprings and aerials.  Standing and round-off back handsprings along with aerials will be introduced at this level.  Tumbling requirements include back bend pull up and kick over or permission from the instructor.   

 

Class Attire:  Dancers can wear any colored leotard or dancewear.  Dancewear is defined as: leotard/crop top/booty shorts/Capri pants.  Tights are optional but if worn must be, Capri, footless, or convertible.  No t-shirts, sweat pants or loose clothing is permitted.  Hair should be pulled back and secured.  Male dancers should wear shorts and shirts (not baggy) or fitted sweat clothing.

Advanced I Tumbling  (Ages 5 – 18 years)

This class progresses from the skills learned in Intermediate II Tumbling.  More strength skills will be necessary to work on advanced skills such as handstands, round-off back handsprings, continuous back handsprings and back tucks.  Continuous back handsprings and back tucks will be introduced at this level.  Tumbling requirements include standing and round-off back handspring or permission from the instructor. 

 

Class Attire:  Dancers can wear any colored leotard or dancewear.  Dancewear is defined as: leotard/crop top/booty shorts/Capri pants.  Tights are optional but if worn must be, Capri, footless, or convertible.  No t-shirts, sweat pants or loose clothing is permitted.  Hair should be pulled back and secured.  Male dancers should wear shorts and shirts (not baggy) or fitted sweat clothing.

Advanced II Tumbling  (Ages 5 – 18 years)

This class progresses from the skills learned in Advanced I Tumbling.  More strength skills will be necessary to work on advanced skills such as standing back tucks, round-off back handspring back tucks, layouts and pikes.  Tumbling requirements include round-off back tuck and continuous back handspring into a back tuck or permission from the instructor. 

 

Class Attire:  Dancers can wear any colored leotard or dancewear.  Dancewear is defined as: leotard/crop top/booty shorts/Capri pants.  Tights are optional but if worn must be, Capri, footless, or convertible.  No t-shirts, sweat pants or loose clothing is permitted.  Hair should be pulled back and secured.  Male dancers should wear shorts and shirts (not baggy) or fitted sweat clothing.

We emphasize careful technical training that will enhance all physical endeavors and welcome all ages and levels. All students will be placed in the correct class according to age. 

 

Class Attire:  Any colored solid leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes.  Ballet skirts are optional. Hair should be pulled back and secured.  Male dancers should wear shorts and shirts (not baggy) or fitted sweat clothing.

Shoes:  Ballet shoes must be pink soft leather with split sole.  

 

 

Pre-school Jazz & Tap  (Ages 3 – 5.5 years)

Tap is an exciting rhythmic exercise and dance form. Tap offers a variety of styles and techniques. Students will realize results in dance movement after a minimum of classes. The classes stress the basics of tap and build into combinations which are great to watch and delightful to hear.  We challenge our students with many different forms of jazz, all high energy but with different styles. These classes are popular with all ages and provide added benefit of cardiovascular exercise due to the high level of energy Exerted. Jazz class is a fun and fast paced mixture of various techniques, jumps, leaps and turns. 

 

Class Attire:  Dancers can wear any colored leotard or dancewear.  Dancewear is defined as: leotard/crop top/booty shorts/Capri pants.  Tights are optional but if worn must be, Capri, footless, or convertible.  No t-shirts, sweat pants or loose clothing is permitted.  Hair should be pulled back and secured.  Male dancers should wear shorts and shirts (not baggy) or fitted sweat clothing.

This form of dance is inspired by nature, music, art, and human emotions.  We challenge our students with many different forms of jazz, all high energy but with different styles. These classes are popular with all ages and provide added benefit of cardiovascular exercise due to the high level of energy Exerted. Jazz class is a fun and fast paced mixture of various techniques, jumps, leaps and turns.

Pre-school, Petite & Junior Performance Company  (Ages 9 – 13 years)

**New** We are offering a Performance Company for our Pre-school, Petite and Junior dancers who wish to perform locally throughout the community.  This is a great program for students who wish to better prepare for our competitive company.  The performance company consists of dancers who have the desire to go beyond technique classes and put the skills they've attained to work.  The company participates in local activities throughout the year. 

 

Class Attire:  Female Dancers can wear any colored dance top or leotard to class.  No tank tops or t-shirts.  Black booty shorts, black Capri-length leggings or black ankle-length leggings are the required dance bottom.  If you wear shorts to class, you must also wear black footless, convertible or Capri tights.  Male dancers can wear black shorts and any color fitted shirt.

Shoes:  Light Suntan Leather/Spandex Gore Jazz Boot

 

 

 

Competition Team  (Ages 5 – 18 years)

Our dance companies are selected by auditions that will be held on August 18th.  Our Dance and Acrobatics Company is a Regional and Nationally Award Winning Competitive Company.  Members are selected on ability, attitude and focus.  Our members are expected to train intensively and are required to keep up with all of their class requirements.  We expect company members and parents to be equally committed to the program.  All competitive members are required to attend all competitions and performances.  For more information regarding the dance company please email triplettandpropst@hotmail.com or contact Michelle and Teresa by phone.  (573-747-9572 / 573-747-9995)

Private Lessons  (All Ages)

Private lessons are available to any student who desires.  During the private lesson, students may either have a technique lesson, to work on developing stronger skills.  Private lessons are offered if the instructor you request is available.  Solo’s are subject to studio availability.  Please contact Michelle or Teresa for more information.
