JANUARY 2010
T&P REC NEWSLETTER
BAD WEATHER REMINDER:
If we need to cancel classes due to bad weather, we will immediately post this information on the homepage of our website. We don't always cancel classes when schools are closed, so please do not assume this is our standard procedure. In addition to posting this information on our website, we will also list our cancellations with both the Farmington and Park Hills Radio Stations. Lastly, we will send out a bulk e-mail to everyone who has a current e-mail address in our system. We do not have built in snow days this year, so classes cancelled because of bad weather will receive a make-up class at the earliest convenience of the instructor(s). Make-up classes will most likely take place on a Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday.
IS YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT INFORMATION CURRENT?
It is important to us for you to keep your personal account information current in our system. Please notify the front desk of any changes to your name, address, e-mail or phone number. You can also update your own account information with our online account system on our website.
LOST AND FOUND:
We have cleaned out the lost and found in our lobby but we still have quite a few unclaimed shoes. Shoes are too expensive for us to toss, so they are temporarily still there. Please take a few moments to go through the ones that were left behind.
RECITAL DATES:
We have reserved the Centene Center for May 20, 21 & 22. Part of this time will be used for rehearsal and the other for recital. We will pass out detailed information a little closer to the date.
RECITAL FEE:
There is a $50.00 recital fee due per family on or before April 12th. Additional recital information is available on our website under the "09-10 Welcome Packet" tab.
REMINDER:
As we begin inviting observes into the studio to watch choreography, we wanted to remind you…NO STREET SHOES ON OUR MARLEY DANCE FLOORS.
MISS TERESA'S TUESDAY CLASSES:
Miss Teresa only has eight weeks left until her due date. After careful consideration, she feels like it is in the best interest of her students for her to turn her classes over to staff member that can see them through to the recital. Consistency for young dancers is important and this decision will give them a staff member who can give their complete attention for the entire next semester. She will pass out a detailed letter to her classes this week.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Jobe Bryant, Evvelyn David, Madison Closson, Grace Duncan, Mary Kate Eaton, Ginny Johns, Skyler Gollaher, Allie Johnson, Jazmin Mecey, Lilie Weiss & Alyssa Pfister.
COSTUME ARRIVAL:
Our costumes should begin arriving soon. Once you receive them, please put them on a hanger and place them in safekeeping. Unfortunately, costumes are not going to fit each child perfectly. Children come in all shapes and sizes but generally costumes only come in three child sizes and three adult sizes. Please do not assume your costume fits without checking with the instructor first. If alterations are needed, we ask that you do them mid-February for pictures. Remind the seamstress that the recital is in May so there will need to be a little growing room but nothing clearly noticeable!
PICTURE WEEK AT HASTINGS':
March 1-4, 2010. We will pass out detailed information in February. It is not mandatory to purchase pictures but it is extremely important for ALL students to be present for the group picture.
COSTUME SUPPLY LIST:
You will receive a costume supply list when we pass out the detailed picture information. The supply list will include details about shoes, tights and the accessories you will need for picture week. We will also include information about hair and make-up.
