WELCOME TO TRIPLETT & PROPST AND THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING OUR PERFORMING ARTS STUDIO!!

Teresa Triplett-Keddy & Michelle Propst

Teresa and Michelle have been dancing and teaching side by side for the past fourteen years. Most of their dance accomplishments have been made together because they are such a solid team and equally devoted to making a positive difference in the lives of each dancer they encounter! Several dancers in their company have already trained with them for ten years or longer. The list of accomplishments their dancers have made, as well as their own accomplishments is immeasurable. They are excited about the success of their first season and looking forward to an amazing second year.

Studio Calendar – Fall Classes Begin September 8

We will begin our season in September and end the dance year with a recital in May.  Your tuition will be the same amount each month whether it meets three times or five.  There are no additional charges if an extra rehearsal is scheduled.  Tumbling classes and ballet classes (with the exception of pre-school ballet) will not participate in the recital.  Our ballet classes will participate every other year.  Our pre-school ballet class will perform in the recital annually.

Class Cancellations Due to Bad Weather

If we need to cancel classes due to bad weather, we will immediately post that information on the homepage of our website.  We don’t always cancel classes when schools are closed, so please do not assume that is our standard procedure.  In addition to posting that information on our website, we will also list our cancellations with both the Farmington and Park Hills Radio Station.  Lastly, we will send out a bulk e-mail to everyone who has a current e-mail address with our office.  We do not have built in snow days this year, so classes cancelled because of bad weather will receive a make-up class at the earliest convenience of the instructor(s).   Make-up classes will most likely take place on Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday.  If your personal information changes, please do your best to keep us updated so we can easily keep you informed!

How Much Does It Cost ?

Registration Fee:

There will be a $35.00 fee due per student or $45.00 fee due per family upon registration and annually thereafter. Competition families will need to pay an additional $20.00 for the first dancer and $10.00 for each additional competition member.  Once you submit your form(s) and your fee is paid, your spot will be reserved in class.  Registration is not considered complete until your fee is paid.

This fee helps pay for administration costs, insurance, bank fees, and other upkeep associated with keeping a business alive.  Competition members will also receive a 2009-2010 COMPANY t-shirt and a competition music CD.  The t-shirt and CD will be passed out at a later date.

Tuition:

Our base tuition fee is $35.00 per month for enrollment in a weekly 60 minute class. ($35.00 pays for all weeks in which class is held during the month). After the first class per family, a multi-class discount applies. Tuition pays for teachers, facility rental, music, taxes and a myriad of other items.

Tuition Due Dates & Late Fees:

Tuition is due on or before the first class meeting.  Those who pay after the 10th of each month will be charged a $15.00 late fee per family.  All fees must be paid in full to receive costumes and/or participate in the annual recital.  Notification must be made when a child withdraws from the program; otherwise tuition will still be due.  Tuition is non-refundable or credited for any reason.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

Returned Checks:

$25.00 handling fee for returned checks.

Multi-Class Discount:

Triplett & Propst offers a multi-class discount to all families. The base tuition is $35.00 per hour long class each month but for families with more than one student or even families with just one student taking more than one class, the discount tuition schedule will apply. This discount will automatically be applied to your monthly tuition and results in a significant savings over the base tuition fee.

Family Discount:

The first child in each family will pay the normal tuition amount.  Each child after (immediate family members only) will receive a 15% discount on their total tuition.

Recital/Exhibition

Recital & Rehearsal Information

Each year the students participate in a fully costumed and lighted production showcasing their accomplishments.  This event is a professional staged production that the students look forward to at the end of each season.  The rehearsal and recital will be held this year on May 20, 21 & 22 at the Centene Center in Farmington.  You will receive specific information at a later date.

Recital Fee

There is a $50.00 recital fee per family due on April 12th. Tumbling classes and ballet classes will not participate in the recital and will not be responsible for the recital fee (with the exception of the pre-school ballet class).  This fee goes toward paying recital expenses. For example, the rental of the facility alone costs thousands of dollars. Other recital costs include lights, gels, fog machine, equipment, lighting technicians, music, programs, invitations, decorations, payroll, etc. While we never make a profit with recital, it is essential to developing a students’ character and is a reward for all their hard work throughout the year.

Admission

There will be a $2.00 admission to our show and tickets can be purchased in advance at the studio.  Each family will receive two complimentary tickets.  There will be no admission for performers.

Costumes

Costumes for the recital are purchased for each student.  An average costume cost is $50.00-$75.00.  Tumbling classes will not participate in the recital.  You will need one costume for each area of dance studied.  Combination classes will need two costumes.

Recreational Costume Deposit

There is a $25.00 fee per costume per dancer due on or before Monday, October 19th.  The costume balance will be due in full on or before Monday, November 30th.  The Company will not pay this deposit.  Competition members need to visit the website for costume deposit details.
